Liquid Lamination is now available at the Joseph Merritt & Company.

Hartford, Connecticut August 1, 2008

The Joseph Merritt & Company purchases an AccuCure™ 60 UV system made by Neschen Americas.  This new laminating technology is designed to supply a fully automatic, super speed, dry-to-dry, protective coating for both digital and photographic images.

This user-friendly liquid laminator allows a service provider such as Merritt Graphics, to deliver high quality images at a much faster turnaround and much lower cost than the roll to roll application used in most reprographics service bureaus.

Paired with our Gandinnovations UV Flatbed printer, your POP displays, trade show booths, transit graphics and all your large format printing can be a powerful solutions for the demand of a quick turnaround without the sacrifice of quality.  With variable speeds up to 110’ per minute, what used to take 3 days to complete now can be done in one shifts time.  Our increased production flow now results with your graphics in your hands quicker than the competition can produce.

For Joseph Merritt & Company, Growing Green is an important factor when doing business.  The automatic liquid delivery system cycles and filters the coating liquid at the adjusted volume that is required.  AccuCure™ will not evaporate and only cures when exposed to UV light.  The unused coating liquid spills into a third container and is recycled back into the automatic liquid delivery systems for a continuous use of the coating liquid.  No waste in produced.  For our substrates we offer biodegradable styrene for direct-to-print applications, bioflex banner vinyl for our banners, as well as bio foam core and polyethylene banners.

“For us, it is our way of staying ahead of the technology curve to provide our customers the quality in production that they deserve,” says Ed Perry, President & CEO.  Perry continues to state that, “what used to be done in 3 or 4 days time can now be done in a single shift.  Our society demands its vendors to be environmentally sensitive; we can do our part to help a global initiative.”

The Joseph Merritt Company is a marketing communications company that can produce any image on any surface at any time. Founded 100 years ago as Hartford’s first commercial blueprinter, today the company employs 105 people in eight offices in New England and New York.
