Winning Photo:  "Loading"

The Hyundai Garnet at Howland Hook Terminal in Staten Island, February 2007. This is how modern cargo is loaded onto container ships. The whole box is loaded from the truck as opposed to the old days when they would actually unload the cargo out of the box onto the ship.  We watched them load the truck beds onto this 1000ft. container ship and then maneuvered the ship away from the dock. I used Nikon D80 with a small aperture to create the greater depth of field.

Accompanying Photo:  "Loaded"

The Hyundai Garnet fully loaded heading outward bound to sea under the Bayonne Bridge. Taken in New York Harbor, February 2007.
