This shot was taken in Mansfield, Connecticut and is known as one of North East Connecticut’s best trout streams.

 

Accompanying Photo:  "Vinalhaven Flower Garden"

This flower garden was taken in Vinalhaven, Maine which is an island located off the mainland near Rockland. Vinalhaven is a noted lobster fishing community. Granite was discovered in 1826, and Vinalhaven became one of Maine’s largest quarrying centers for the next century. Today, it is the site of one of the first large wind power projects on the east coast of the United States.

 

Martin Calverley's Biography:

Martin Calverley is one of three founding Principals of the technical consulting firm ACT Associates, (Anthony, Calverley, Thompson). Martin began working with photography in his college days at Lyndon State College in Vermont and is a graduate of Lyndon’s Media Arts Program. After putting the camera down for a long period, Martin rekindled his interest with digital photo technology over the last few years and continues to spend time with the newer technologies to improve and grow as a photographer. “With the exception of some core skills, it is having to relearn a whole new discipline and process. It’s like rediscovering an old friend who has a whole lot of new tricks to share, exciting stuff!”
