Winning Photo: "Boston Boats"

Sailboats in the Boston Harbor with the cityscape in the background. Since its discovery by John Smith in 1614, Boston Harbor has been an important port in American history.

Blood Mountain range near Cleveland, GA. This is the highest point on the Appalachian Trail in the state of Georgia, and is a very popular destination for both overnight and day hikers since there are magnificent views from a rock outcropping at the summit. It was once the site of a major battle between the Cherokee and the Creek Indians. The summit is also known for an old stone shelter built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s.

 

Chris Wallace's Biography:

Chris Wallace became interested in photography at the age of 8 when his father gave him his first 35mm camera.  He attended the Ohio Institute of Photography and continues to be active in photography. Chris resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.
